About this Playlist
Mental health is real. Since the beginning of the pandemic, mental health has finally become less stigmatized and more accepted worldwide. It’s okay to not be okay and it is completely acceptable to ask for help.
As someone who suffers from mental illness, it frustrates me to feel different and lesser than even though it’s probably just all in my head. I have worked hard to get where I am today, but even then a regression can take place.
REGREssION follows a track like most of us may have in our personal lives. Beginning with a troubling yet necessary jump towards healthiness and transitioning into an exploration of the mind. Once we come across the depths of Post Malone’s tear-jerker “I Fall Apart,” we enter a space of unknowing. Our path becomes foggy and our brains uncertain. Thus, the lowercase s’ in the title signifies a trail that seems so expected yet happens to be different.
From the likes of Briston Maroney’s accurate tune to the looming existentialism captured by COIN, this playlist finds a common and unlevel ground. Despite the unevenness and the hesitation, return to the world with the finale as the wisdom of coming back to Earth releases a daunting reminder of gravity in your mind.
REGREssION allows you to fall back yet guides you in a gentle, steady manner towards a state of peace and assurance.
