A song best explained in sounds. Sounds that feel almost familiar - but not quite - like a foggy memory. Sounds that lead you underneath a blanket of warm foaming sea water. Sounds of morning light dancing with the shells below - the stars of the sea twinkle and tumble in slow motion amongst one another as if they have been doing so their entire existence.
Always in motion - Desmond Cheese dives into the nostalgia of warm familiar sounds morphed into unfamiliar ways. Here - I feel a pulse - a living breathing song - bringing moments back to life as winter silences the world.
The whole album feels like the slow silent walk of early morning clouds found clinging low to the ground. They swoon and swing to the songs of the wakened world - soaking in our sounds before the sun rises to take their place in the listening.
Destined into a diverse universe - they direct sound in unexpected directions - leaving you in a different space and simultaneously a very present time. Left feeling grounded and spacey - each realm formed inside each song is more open and dynamic than the next - as fluid as the Sunrise and Set.

About The Curator - Maria Fish
You can most often find Maria in her garden humming along to an eclectic playlist titled “Life’s a Garden, Dig It” and of course tending to her beloved plants. This garden is located on the island of Kaua’i at her childhood home surrounded by tropical fruit trees and flowers. Beautiful music has always gone hand in hand with the beauty of the island. Just as she nurtures her plants, she looks forward to nurturing this playlist and the community of music lovers that feel like stopping by and having a listen.
