So, this whole playlist actually took quite some time to complete (because all the best ones do! :P) It started off with Andie just working at a coffee shop and she thought “oh, they should play some cool music here…” And she ended up messaging Jenna since (she’s always down for anything!) for a list around that theme – a simple, cool and groovy, coffee shop playlist.
Andie’s Top 3 from Jenna’s Picks!
Dear To Me – Electric Guest
I got so excited when I saw that Jenna added this! I haven’t listened to this in a minute, so now it’s often in my ‘On Repeat’ I’d describe it as the perfect driving song, or a really background music when you’re making a montage of good times.
Sunshine Baby – The Japanese House
I’ve always loved the calm vibe of most of The Japanese House’s songs. The layers of vocals, like echoes, and melodies always hit and they’re so soothing for me. Sometimes, it gives me a light psychedelic vibe. Although the meaning of the song kinda got me interested since after a few listens, I think the song can be about two different things on love – I guess whatever resonates with the listener!
Dive – Olivia Dean
This is the first time I listened to a song by this artist and I was hooked immediately. This is such a feel good love song to me! It’s like something you’d listen to after a date – just all the butterflies and happiness. It’s also really catchy, bright, and you can’t help but move to it!
Jenna’s Top 3 from Andie’s Picks!
Like Andie, I often go to sit down at a coffee shop and wish something else were playing more often than not. It’s hard to only pick three songs that I liked from Andie’s selection because like usual, they’re all my favorite!
Back on 74 – Jungle
When it really comes down to it, This track by Jungle really is such a gem! I can’t get enough of it. It’s the perfect vibe for a chill afternoon in a coffee shop, or a late night drive into the city, or soaking up sun on the beach. You get these really powerful vocals and almost a jazzy 80’s disco vibe all at once? It’s hard to describe how good it is but I’ve really resonated with it since I heard it the first time. This track has become part of my weekly rotation and I’ve also been sharing it around as often as I can.
Rolled Up – Benny Sings and Mac
I’ve always been a fan of anything by Benny Sings and Mac De Marco. They’ve got this really cool sound that’s unique to them. I was surprised that I didn’t know they had a collaboration with each other! This Lo-fi, relaxed feel is the perfect sound for a coffee shop’s vibes.
Post Madonna – Nautics
This is so catchy! I can’t get enough of it. It reminds me of artists like Still Woozy or Summer Salt. I’m so surprised at the number of listeners they have on Spotify. The vocals are so dreamy, the melody is so relaxing. This song will be so great to listen to over the summer. I really enjoyed their high energy indie sound, which is usually what I listen to daily.

About the Curators
Andie De Guzman
Andie constantly thinks of music as an escape to a whole other place. It also brings out this different side of her that only music can. Like, you ever have a bad day, but when you listen to this particular song or shuffle this certain playlist, everything seems better? Yeah, that's pretty much how it makes her feel too. And for her, music has to be playing everywhere– as in everywhere. It's like she has a soundtrack for anything. She can't stop writing or talking about it. It's something she can talk about with you for hours and hours. Music helps her get lost but in the best way possible.

Jenna Barton
My name is Jenna Barton. I currently live in a small town in Illinois. Although I live in small town I have always been a big city girl at heart. I live near the great city of Chicago, where I try to visit as often as I can. I enjoy seeing new places and being around people. I'm not sure what my future holds, but I do know that music will be apart of it.
Music has always been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. You can find me listening to music in between classes and during nature walks. Ive had a passion for music at a young age when I started my own musical discovery. My journey into music led me into the boyband area for a while, but now its very diverse and I am always looking for something new to listen to.
I wouldn't be able to pick a favourite artist or song right now because its constantly changing. Music has changed my life for the better and I want nothing more than to share that with you.
