For our second Listening Party, we wanted to lean into something simple but so easy to forget: Joy. Not the big, cinematic kind, just the everyday sparks that show up in small moments, familiar sounds, and songs that make you smile without thinking about it.
Every track in this set was sent by artists from all over the world, and somehow, when we listened to them together, the room just felt lighter. People were sharing such great stories! It was one of those nights where you remember why music feels like home.
That’s the cool thing about Joy, it’s different for everyone. For some, it’s a soft build. For others, it’s a burst of color. And hearing each artist express it in their own way made the whole experience feel honest and grounding.
Here are the songs that brought us joy that night. 🎧
Overload by BOBBI
“OVERLOAD” channels an energetic R&B pulse, seamlessly blending smooth melodies with motivational lyrics that inspire ambition. Crafted effortlessly, the song reflects the artist’s personal connection to its message, serving as a catalyst for listeners to chase their dreams with relentless passion. Each beat fuels the determination to transcend limits, making “OVERLOAD” a vibrant anthem for anyone driven to transform their aspirations into reality.
Tongue Tied by zakharleyxavier
Tongue Tied is the debut single of zakharleyxavier and set to be a future classic! Combining stadium rock with grunge revival Tongue Tied stands as an anthem to all things cool and stylish!
Beautiful Christmas by Nicholai
This is a song that celebrates Christmas music by using song titles to express this love of holiday music.
Electro Fly by Bobby Volture
“Electrofly” is a high-voltage funk experience that takes listeners on a ride through sound, rhythm, and time. Bobby Volture blends vintage soul with futuristic energy — channeling the spirit of Prince and Zapp while flying through a world powered by heavy bass, shimmering synths, and slick talk-sing vocals. It’s a record that feels like cruising through neon skies in a time machine made of funk.
With smooth melodies, playful confidence, and electrifying grooves, Electrofly captures what Bobby Volture stands for — freedom, originality, and the rebirth of real funk in a digital age. It’s the sound of nostalgia meeting the future, crafted to make you move, vibe, and escape from the ordinary. Electrofly isn’t just a song — it’s a movement. Bobby Volture took the soul of the ’70s and wired it into the future. Once that bassline hits, you’ll understand why people are calling it “funk reborn.”
Better Days by Missing Since Monday
A high energy pop punk jam similar to the 2000s vibes. Something you’d hear in American Pie.
If you liked what you heard, check out these artists on their socials and show them some love! 🎶
And we’re not stopping here. The next Listening Party for January is already cooking, with a brand new emotion to explore and more music to discover together.
See you at the next one!
Jenna & Andie Writes
We absolutely loved every track these artists sent in for our second Listening Party. Even with one shared theme, Joy, each artist expressed it in a completely different way, and that contrast made the experience feel so special. From smooth R&B and vibey electrofunk to a playful Christmas track and high energy punk rock anthems, it reminded us that joy is not one size fits all and lives in movement, nostalgia, confidence, and the simple moments that make music feel like home.
Stay tuned for our next Listening Party, where we’ll explore another emotion, discover more incredible music, and share the experience with the community.
If you’ve turned a strong emotion into a song, we’d love to hear it.
See you again in January for the next one!
