Anna Sun – Walk The Moon

Welcome Back! Approaching the Holiday Season at breakneck speed here in the states has everyone rushed, stressing, and “adulting” something severely. I honestly can not think of a single track more important to be showcased this week than Walk The Moon’s “Anna Sun”.

Picasso – The 49ers

Art metaphors and comparisons with great painters are not rare in hip hop – as you’ve seen from Beenzino’s Dali, Van, Picasso; and as you can see now with Delaware hip hop duo The 49ers.

Strobe – Michael Woods 2014 Remix – deadmau5, Michael Woods

Remixing deadmau5 takes some serious courage. Not only does Joel have incredibly high standards when it comes to people messing with his music, but he’s also not afraid to tell them – often in the bluntest way possible.

Feel It All Around – Washed Out

There are certain songs that define a genre. When people think of the short lived chillwave genre people think of Washed out – Feel it all around.

Body (feat. Troy Ave) – Wize

Wize is a rapper with a truly unique flow and style. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, originally but is currently based in Miami, FL, for the last decade where he has been pursuing his music career. He is a part of the explosive creative collective, Dusa Gang. His songs blur the lines between old school hip-hop and modern trap influences, creating a raw and earnest sound.

On The Esplanade – Julian Plenti

We continue to explore the night and music allows us to make a new connection with ourselves, a guitar comes again our way and leaves a single yet powerful imprint on our souls, the pattern is simple but so filled with meaning, there’s another feeling that needs to leave our hearts, free us from another burden.

Still Think I’m Nothing – 50 Cent Ft. Jeremih

This week on the Music to Soundtrack Souls Playlist we have 50 Cent Featuring R&B Crooner Jeremih.

This is classic 50 with Jeremih providing his touch on the track.

Magnetic – Chlöe Howl

Wow!

Like A Trance Like – Sort Sol

Montañas de locura, hielo, luces y sombras deambulan a piacere en esta canción que parece una nana para dormir y soñar. Pero sería un grave error dejarse llevar al sueño porque nos perderíamos lo mejor.

Peace – Da Deputy

When I started this playlist I made it clear I wanted to show what the south had to offer when it came to hip hop. When most think of southern hip hop they think of dance music or club music with not much content. I’ve also gotten then feeling that quite a few don’t feel the south have much to offer when it comes to lyrics but I beg to differ.

Part 4 – Given Circumstances

Spicy peruses my CV, nodding from time to time, then fusses with the kettle that’s boiling.

‘The High Master passed me your application for the English post in Uppers.’

A priest? On drugs?

‘I’m afraid that’s been filled but we’re looking for someone down here.’

Down?

And out!’ suddenly from the radio.

Spicy reaches for a plate of custard creams. ‘They’re my guilty pleasure,’ he says offering them. ‘Whenever we get a wicket. Sounds like we’ve got the Aussies on the run.’

Harder Better Faster Stronger – Daft Punk

I know, I know quite an oldie, BUT the robots are back – so in that sense we are very in trend again and you can’t argue with the energy of that song! So cool, so groovy, so Disco AND great for workout!
