Welcome Back! Approaching the Holiday Season at breakneck speed here in the states has everyone rushed, stressing, and "adulting" something severely. I honestly can not think of a single track more important to be showcased this week than Walk The Moon's "Anna Sun".
This was Walk The Moon's big hit on their debut self-titled album. To this day, I still get chills, my feet almost involuntarily start dancing around, all while my shoulders start swaying. It's upbeat, creative, timeless, everything in one, and if that wasn't enough - its message acts as the excessive whipped topping you spread over your chocolate chip pancakes.
I Freakin' Love This Song
The message behind the song really captures the critical time in our lives where we feel it is necessary to transition from adults who act like kids - to adults who act like adults. For many, like Walk The Moon, this time comes shortly after college.
The common question is "Why grow up so fast?"
My response to this is "Why grow up at all?"
My goal is to not spark a social movement where adults start wearing depends 40 years earlier than necessary. It is for individuals, regardless of age, to have fun and enjoy all aspects of life. There is no upper age limitation on the fun enjoyed by a good Nerf Gun, Super-Soaker, or face paint. Do it. You'll be happier if you do.
Life is a much more joyous roller coaster of a time if you enjoy it with a light heart, a smiling face, and a pair of dancing shoes. To all my past, upcoming, and future collegiate graduates. Age is shown in action, not years.
Thank you Walk the Moon for giving us the perspective to enjoy every moment of life we have here on Earth, welcome to the Sizzle Bacon Playlist!
Peace and Love,
Jesse

About the Curator - Jesse Simons
If there is one thing in all of existence that can possibly perk Jesse up more than a fresh dark roast coursing through his veins, it’s philanthropy work. His drive and passion for helping those in need is what he believes refines him the most as a strong, confident character.
Constantly inviting challenges to solve, you’ll be “cold pressed”, (caffeine is clearly essential), to find another person who looks as dashingly good looking in both a freshly pressed suit, and the same pair of sweatpants he’s put off washing from a few too many evenings couch surfing.
Jesse’s love for all genres of music started when he realized the power of music in the human experience. He believes each musician is the creative equivalent of a tectonic plate fault line. When musicians spread their art into the world, that fault line shifts, sending waves of raw emotion pouring from the track into the individuals absorbing it. Jesse came to the understanding that musicians weren’t just imperative to the human experience, they ARE the human experience.
From that day forward he has done everything in his power to help artists of all backgrounds and sound, spread their craft.

Hey guys! Welcome back –
This week’s track i’d like to dedicate to my mom. She introduced me to Huey Lewis & The News by playing it many times over the cassette player in the family’s 1995 Chevy Lumina. This track not only has me nostalgic, but it also makes me smile and dig deeper into the mounds of great music form the 80’s era of Rock N’ Roll…
