Hardaway – Derez Deshon

Every now and then I will keep hearing a track over and over no matter where I got and not realize how much of a gem it is. This next track falls in that category for me.

Derez Deshon is from Clayton County, GA so pretty much Atlanta. He is one of the artist I kept hearing about doing business in Atlanta myself. One day I asked an artist/friend I work with who they are listening to currently and he mentioned Derez Deshon…

Sen Istersin – Sedef Sebüktekin (feat. Canozan)

Sedef Sebüktekin’i çoğumuz Sofar performansı ile tanıdık.

Everything’s Not Lost – Coldplay

This is another song from the other perspective.

If last week’s Radiohead track was about mental illness and what it’s like to be in love with someone who has it – this week’s track is about relationships and what it’s like to be the one who leaves.

Streetcar – Daniel Caesar

Daniel Caesar, one of the most promising up-in-coming R&B/Soul artists at the moment, puts his own spin on Kanye West’s Street Lights off of his 5th album, 808s & Heartbreaks.

Streetcar – Daniel Caesar

24K Magic – Bruno Mars

24K Magic is one of the best modern day pop/R&B tracks to have ever been released and is one of the most iconic tracks to featured in Bruno Mar’s music catalog.

The opening of the song greets us with old school 90’s auto tune while briefly serenading us into the full package.

The song then bursts into a charismatic, energetic and flavorful blend of dance funk pop.

Dynasty – Xavier

We take a little break from all that movement to chill out with some hip-hop, here’s another track that was submitted to the playlist, Xavier’s “Dynasty”.

The Combine – John Maus

My God Has A Telephone – The Flying Stars of Brooklyn NY

This song is the perfect example of why I love music especially live music because you can hear the rawness in someone’s voice and the emotions they are feeling. Music is so powerful and the connection between a song and an individual is unbreakable.

Huembelo I – Black Brothers

Many jellyfish are familiar with the very large island in the Pacific Ocean comprised of the nation of Papua New Guinea and the future nation of West Papua.  In fact, this island is home to one fifth of all the species of living things on earth, as well as one fifth of all human languages.  Sadly, West Papua is currently occupied and oppressed by Indonesia and is the scene of one of the least publicized ongoing human rights atrocities in the world, largely funded by a US gold & copper mining company and other greedy outsiders.

Equilinox Main Theme – Jamal Green

I’m a big fan of video game soundtracks for writing to – as evidenced here and here – they exist solely to accompany you doing something – and hell – what’s the difference between writing and killing a few trolls?

Magazine – Editors

I’ve always been more of a fan of Tom Smith’s voice than his band Editors. Come on, he sounds gorgeous. And the Editors, sure, they’re good, but I never really connected. Their new single, “Magazine”, changed that.

Yanlış Var – Evdeki Saat

Evdeki Saat is an independent music project that was started in 2014 by Eren Alıcı and Sunguralp Esat.
