About this Playlist
Finally, the call for animal-themed playlists has been made at musicto, and it couldn’t have come sooner! I can’t tell you how long I’ve been collecting songs about animals, but I’m more than happy to clean up my Spotify account by dropping a number of them into a few playlists for our community collection.
Starting with horses seemed like an easy choice. I had over 70 horse-titled tracks—more than any other animal-themed tracks. Of course, curating them into a 22-song list wasn’t quite as simple. They crossed a large field of genres. But limiting myself to indie, rock, and alternative, with electronic in the mix, I’ve ended up with an enjoyable listen for those looking for a mostly mellow playlist titled after the last song on the playlist, “Horses In My Dreams”, by PJ Harvey.
