This week's track is authentic, genuine jubilation. The Motivations have created a feel that brings a smile to your groove. We all know heavy is good, but sometimes light and carefree is a nice type of funk too.
Led by a very soulful, but laid back performance from May Erlewine, "Moses" contains a simple theme of giving back the love you recieve. A subject easily worthy of playing an upbeat, tambourine driven groove to. The band is hot, but playing it cool.
Well crafted bubble guitar lines. Warm bass and keys. Natural feeling drums. Horn lines ala Van Morrison. It's all well produced, but not over produced. All the while giving a tip of the hat to NBA legend Moses Malone.
