This is one of those songs I have featured on multiple playlists. It’s one of the first songs I think about sharing with others. And in a way Honne was the beginning of this daydream late at night music theme I developed for my playlists. It has the dreamy lyrics and hazy feel to the sound, but most importantly it’s such a layered song that you can lose yourself into many of its aspects. For me it has always been about how the lyrics and the music make me feel. To me this song is hope, its faith, it symbolizes everything I feel when I’m lost in a my mind into a song. Every time I hear it, it takes my body somewhere else. It’s a feeling that’s so hard to explain and I can only hope you feel the same about another song.
I just got back from Lollapalooza and Honne was the very first artist I went to see. It was one of the most incredible moments, being able to experience this song live and to share it with so many other people who felt as passionate about the song as myself.

About the Curator - Ashlee Villasenor
Ashlee Villasenor is a senior at Austin College who watches too much Netflix and listens to her music a bit too loud. Her passion for music stems from a childhood full of sleeping on chairs at concerts to singing at the top of her lungs with her dad in the car to every new album he bought her. She's a Tumblr obsessed vegetarian, an animal-lover, a "let's share our feelings through music" kind of girl, who you will never catch without her journal and her pen in hand.
