Spent the weekend with old friends and we were laughing constantly. I don’t think anything we said bears repeating. You had to be there and go through the good times and the bad times we’ve been through together over the years. But I spent three days in good company with a smile on my face and it doesn’t take much to turn one of those into a chuckle or a laugh or a fit of the giggles. The single funniest moment was overheard in a cafe where we heard a curmudgeonly elderly woman ordering a bacon roll for breakfast and saying to the poor waiter: “And can it not be burnt to a crisp like last time….?”
