Ever since I started my new baking business, I’ve been getting a lot of negative feedback. The type that isn’t constructive at all and was purely just aimed to make me feel bad. These took a while to turn into fuel, and honestly I’m still struggling to. it’s hard when you get so much of these negative thoughts and it turns to anger. I calm myself down in many ways, and I also just keep the mindset that I’m doing this for myself and I love what I do, so why listen too much to the bad voices!

This article is part of The Human Collective. Each week we take a prompt and create a playlist and accompanying articles. Check out the rest of the playlist: Songs That Start The Fire & Learn more about The Human Collective here.
About the Curators
Andie De Guzman
Andie constantly thinks of music as an escape to a whole other place. It also brings out this different side of her that only music can. Like, you ever have a bad day, but when you listen to this particular song or shuffle this certain playlist, everything seems better? Yeah, that's pretty much how it makes her feel too. And for her, music has to be playing everywhere– as in everywhere. It's like she has a soundtrack for anything. She can't stop writing or talking about it. It's something she can talk about with you for hours and hours. Music helps her get lost but in the best way possible.
