First track that came to mind was Vienna by Billy Joel. That song, to me, always feels like a warm hug and a really good reminder to slow down in life.
I also wanted to add Don’t Stop by Fleetwood Mac. It’s such a good song to start the day, especially if I feel anxious the night before. It brings in a lighter mood and more positivity!
Lastly, It was hard for me to pick a Mac Miller song, because I feel like I listen to him a lot when I wanna clear my head or when I feel overwhelmed, but his track 2009 felt the most fitting for me. Like Vienna, it’s a nice reminder. It’s so calming to listen to and it gives me so many realizations about what I’m actually doing in life with every listen.

Fear shakes us, but it also connects us. Earlier this year, Andie and I hosted a listening party back in with five different songs that perfectly fit in this theme. Each song was sent to us by artists from all over the world, and all of these tracks help you resonate with the feeling of fear and help you face it head on!

I also added five songs from my own personal playlist, which all had different meanings in relation to fear, whether it’s openly discussing the hard things that prevent us from living our full lives, to overcoming this shadow of doubt. Noah Kahan questions whether fear is worth it when it comes to love, Michael Marcagi expresses his fear of starting over, but asks what if? And NF has one of the most powerful songs centered about fear recently. It’s one of those songs that stops me in my tracks and hits me like a bullet. Just from the opening lyrics, you know you’re sitting in for an emotional journey right then and there.
