“It's a dark one but there's optimism.” - Dave Bayley (front man of Glass Animals)
Sometimes you just need to be alone. You need to clear your mind and blow off some steam. While at times when you’re alone you can become you’re own worst enemy, remember all the amazing places your mind has taken you before. Because no matter how bad things are, you’re in control. So it’s ok to want to be alone. It’s ok that you’re not happy all the time. Make time for yourself. Float on a cloud questioning the moon and stars, because if you won’t who will?
“A choking rose back
To be reborn
I want to hold you like you're mine”
I don’t know if this is strange, but I’m the type of person that likes to listen to sad music when I’m already sad. I’m not the type of person who can just listen to upbeat music and instantly feel better. I’m more of that “let me sulk in my sadness alone” type of person and let me do it alone. While people are great for lifting you up, the best feeling is when you can hold yourself up.

About the Curator - Ashlee Villasenor
Ashlee Villasenor is a senior at Austin College who watches too much Netflix and listens to her music a bit too loud. Her passion for music stems from a childhood full of sleeping on chairs at concerts to singing at the top of her lungs with her dad in the car to every new album he bought her. She's a Tumblr obsessed vegetarian, an animal-lover, a "let's share our feelings through music" kind of girl, who you will never catch without her journal and her pen in hand.
