Music in Motion Month is still very much alive and floating into this week with songs that connect us with the movement amongst the sky and beyond.
The time we spend above the earth. The feeling of motionless suspension and yet bewildering speed propels us back and forth through time and space. A place where time appears to stand still - if exist at all. The space above the earth is vast, unknown, and transitional much like our existence.
Majority of my time spent defying gravity - whether that be in a plane or floating in the sea - is spent with eyes closed and music drifting in between my conscious and unconscious mind as I flow between the two worlds. A state of delirium in combination with sound is an experience of its own dimension. Salami Rose Joe Louis embodies all of this with a wild and free intergalactic energy. Her sound is reminiscent of a slow dance with the cosmos after a picnic laid upon a blanket of stars.
Airy, soft and sultry vocals. Fingers that lightly dance upon her keyboard like filtered sunshine through trees. Sleepy instrumentals that awaken our existential complexity and the mysterious nature of being. In describing her newest creations, she states “I hope it resonates with existential questions about home, identity, future, and self awareness.”
Remain curious and open. Question everything and Salami Rose Joe Louis will be sure to join you on your dance through the psyche and beyond.

About The Curator - Maria Fish
You can most often find Maria in her garden humming along to an eclectic playlist titled “Life’s a Garden, Dig It” and of course tending to her beloved plants. This garden is located on the island of Kaua’i at her childhood home surrounded by tropical fruit trees and flowers. Beautiful music has always gone hand in hand with the beauty of the island. Just as she nurtures her plants, she looks forward to nurturing this playlist and the community of music lovers that feel like stopping by and having a listen.
