Jenna Writes:
There’s a place I find myself missing often. My mind immediately goes back to last summer when I spent time in Australia. I miss being so close to the ocean and the way life felt like it slowed down there. Everything felt lighter and more open.
One memory that always takes me back is driving along long country roads on the left hand side, the sun shining and music blasting on Triple J. Some of the songs that played during those daily commutes still transport me instantly. When I hear them now, it feels like I am right back in that car with the windows down, completely in the moment.
I also associate Myles Smith with that time in my life. His music was playing on long plane rides, during walks around the city, and while sitting on the steps of the Opera House. And Mystery of Love brings me straight back to August during the peak of TSITP. I sometimes wish I could return to the version of myself before watching Conrad fall completely in love with Belly.

Only You – The Flying Pickets
There’s just something about stripped back harmonies that makes everything feel closer for me. Like it’s all just voices and feeling and this one feels like sitting with a certain memory I still care about.
Love Takes Miles – Cameron Winter
The first time i heard this song, I immediately loved it. The vocals, the lyrics – just amazing! This feels like distance in its most honest form. Missing here feels thoughtful, like you are trying to understand it instead of fight it.
Life In The City – The Lumineers
This one makes me think about old versions of myself, especially looking back at the things I’ve done or even the fact that I moved out of the city I grew up in. It feels nostalgic in a way that is warm instead of sad
You’re On My Mind – Tom Misch
This song is like, when you’re just going about your day and suddenly someone is there in your thoughts. I wanna say its not heartbreak per se, but just presence. Like they still exist in your everyday.
The Dress (Dijon Cover) – Olivia Dean
This feels personal. I love how Olivia Dean made me feel how this song was in the perspective of the girl or the other partner in the relationship compared to Dijon’s original. Like remembering exactly what someone wore and how the light hit their face. It brings back details you forgot you kept in your memory.
You Were Gone – Daisy Jones & The Six
This one feels cinematic in the best way. Like watching a scene from your life play back with different clarity. It holds both regret and love to me and the “missing feeling” is a bit heavier here.
