Firecracker- Yellow Magic Orchestra
This week’s track is “Firecracker” the second song off their debut record from 1978. It’s a funky combination of disco esque pop with a big dose of traditional Asian themes and melodies. It’s a quirky, weird, and super fun song that always makes me smile and remember why I love music.

But the song is run through with a rueful recognition of the singer’s own fading urge to save the world.

I have always felt a certain comfort by listening to this track, there’s like a soft embrace you feel when you close your eyes and listen to it. It feels like you’re floating on air, over a beautiful field of flowers, on a sunny afternoon.
Unfuck The World- Prophets Of Rage
The title of this week’s track says it all. There is a lot going on in the world and it’s hard to not get angry, it’s also a great time to support each other and make some intense but needed changes.
