Fucked My Way Up To The Top – Lana Del Rey // Seven Devils – Florence + The Machine

This week, two songs that I wanted to present is Lana Del Rey’s Fucked My Way Up To The Top and Seven Devils by Florence + The Machine.

Stoned (OTR Remix) – Blondage

This week’s track has just enough umph to energize, while also looping you through yesterday’s thoughts. OTR, an Ohio native, adds his creative, melancholic sound over the Denmark duo’s poppy electric sound.

Get Lost (ford. Remix) – Bearson, Ashe, Ford.

This trio is the definition of head turning, melodic music that you can not help but to move to. A perfect track to play for almost every scenario, the rhythmic beat and delayed vocal entrance has the mind thinking of good times to come.

Lovin’ You – Vanilla

Informed by everyone from J. Dilla to Miles Davis to Radiohead, Vanilla’s own work is a harmonious blend of hip hop, acid jazz, electronic samplings, disco, funk and soul.

From Vanilla’s words, his work is based on ‘soul-sampling and electronic instrumentals’.

Like the Sunshine – Ours Samplus

This first track is from Ours Samplus, a duo of french beatmakers. Founded by Lille-based artists GuiB and Yousla, Ours Samplus is one of the most prolific duos of its kind.

10% – KAYTRANADA (feat. Kali Uchis)

Haitian-Canadian DJ and Producer KAYTRANADA is no stranger to great collaborations, this time around he paired with Colombian-American singer Kali Uchis to deliver the disco inspired song ‘10%’ that was featured as the single from his sophomore album “BUBBA”.

Topdown – Channel Tres

Topdown by Channel Tres perfectly exemplifies his style and origins in music production. Blending Detroit techno with West coast rap, the Compton native created something unique that has no parallel and can’t really be classified into a specific genre.

Existential Crisis

Since I’m in the middle of trying to figure out how I can incorporate my playlist into my increasingly-elaborate project, I figured I’d simply drop some tracks that I can’t stop listening to at the moment.

Insecure – Max Million (Feat. Maria B)

Insecure is a thought provoking and self empowering anthem, created on the soul purpose to inspire and uplift.

Featuring Mariea B adding a Rythmic Blues

Sunrise or Sunset- Xanika

My track Sunrise or Sunset was inspired by the creative flow of working from home, being chill and not knowing if the light through the curtains is Sunrise or Sunset but the moment is bliss.”

I See Lightning – Tobi Adey

Not only does Tobi Adey impress with his performance, but also with poetic lyrics about finding healthy ways to heal during dark times.

Heaven Help Us All – Stevie Wonder

“Heaven Help Us All” is best characterized as R&B/soul/funk record. Even so, the gospel cues and vibes are clearly pronounced. Those vibes aren’t just because of lyrics petitioning for divine intervention, but also because of the spirited, exuberant backdrop.
