Altın Gün, translated “gold day”, is a Dutch music project. They cover Turkish psychedelic essentials with their own style. The band consists of two Turks, Merve Daşdemir and Erdinç Ecevit Yıldız. But the projects was originally found by the bassist, Jasper Verhulst. With the increasing popularity of Turkish psychedelic music in Europe, they became the stars of many known European music festivals.

I listen to this song and can’t shake the idea out of my head that this song is telling us to be introspective – just for those three minutes and fifty-one seconds. The lyrics invoke this theme that who we are as of now and who we have yet to become is highly shaped by the people we keep and the experiences we have with them.
