Weightless Again – The Handsome Family

If you didn’t know any better this week’s track could quite easily be mistaken for a campfire sing along.. however, it would surely ruffle the feathers at your average Scout Jamboree..

Kindly shared by the Music to Question Existence playlist, “Weightless Again” is this weeks feature track.

Lying Has To Stop – Soft Hair

Connan Mockasin and Sam Dust combine as Soft Hair to release their self titled EP. Once mortal enemies after both Connan and Sam’s bands were accused of stealing a very expensive fiberglass pig from a mansion party they both were booked to perform at. Fights ensued and it was later found out that Connan’s bassist was the culprit and he was fired on the spot.

Hi Bich (Remix) – Bhad Bhabie Feat. YBN Nahmir, Rich The Kid, & Asian Doll

Danielle Marie Bregoli-Peskowitz, known professionally as Bhad Bhabie, gets a lot of slack because of how she gamed her fame. But don’t let all the hype fool you! This chick got bars for sure! I think because she gained fame from being on Doctor Phill as the “Catch Me Out Side Girl” People overlook her talent.

Flocons – Yann Dulché

I’ve been grooving on this track for a few weeks now – there’s just something about it that I can’t get out of my head – and that’s a good thing – I think!

A relatively short track for the Essay writing list but it rewards repeat listening.  It’s the soundscape that I fell in love with…

Forever Changed – Carrie Underwood

It’s a tough topic this week – Alzheimer’s disease – I believe we’re at the beginning of a massive increase in cases and I suspect we’re not really prepared.

It was a great conversation this morning with Sharon at Grief Reiki and rather than go over that – go watch the video below – Sharon has a lot of good insights and tools for those who are affected by this difficult disease…

Bloom – Arch Echo

Arch Echo is a 5 piece fusion progressive rock band based out of Nashville, Tennessee.

Once again, the wonders of related videos on YouTube got me to this band when I was surfing through Plini, David Maxim Micic and Nick Johnston…

Your Love – Erkki. R

When you listen to this track, you’re transported to another world. This is the first electric dance/EDM song that made the playlist. And rightfully so, as the intro alone will make you get up and dance.

Sunshine on My Shoulders – John Denver

Some love songs capture a moment, others capture eternity. John Denver’s simple and tender “Sunshine on My Shoulders” is full of so much sincerity and warmth, one can practically feel the sunshine on one’s shoulders when listening to it…

Loungin’ – Guru

Straight from the same source that gave birth to one of the most iconic hip hop groups ever, “Loungin'” is a gem of the beautiful world of projects that fuse hip hop and jazz.

The track was released in “Guru’s Jazzmatazz, Vol. 1”, an album released by the founder of Gangstarr, legendary rapper and producer Guru…

All Night — Steve Aoki and Lauren Jauregui

This song is a deep colored silk jacket, pulled from your boyfriend’s shoulders and draped over yours. The slight shift of lace against your hips and ribs as you walk towards where he lays waiting. This song is the waft of your perfume being just as intoxicating as the wine you shared earlier.

Clarity – Ellipsis

This week on the Music to Stay up Late playlist we have a very special track, the very first song signed by the Music to music label! This is a huge first step for all of us and worthy of celebrating.

Brighter Than The Moon – The Color Wild

Smooth, clean, and pretty only scratch the surface of this indie pop song by The Color Wild. A mesmerizing backing synth and strong passionate vocals from Kyle and Jesse really drive this song into ‘Alt Nation’ caliber stardom.
