Listetning to this song for the first time, I thought it was sad, but I was completely mistaken. It’s a beautiful piece about how powerful love is. China, like the ceramics, are breakable and fragile. But like the song repeatedly sings “You can bend me and I won’t break, you can hold me and I will stay for a lifetime, for a lifetime with you,” I soon learned that the song was written before a wedding. And it just added a whole layer of context that made it much, much more meaningful.
And the tone of the entire song is so smooth, the subtle electro pop feel it gives off. I never know how that could blend so well together.
I realy love how songs like this can be so creative with the way they talk about such a common topic. It amazes me how much you can learn more about something you thought was so simple, but it turns out to expand to a wide range of meanings and situations…
