I don’t know about you, but the more I listen to this track, the more I feel as if it’s trying to tell me something. It’s amazing how a whole song can tell such an impactful story. Lyrics can be based on experience and I think that’s the reason it’s so great to write. Listening to 16 / 04 / 16, you can say it’s about a relationship– a friendship, actually. But of course, I had to know more about it because I was so caught up with its light tone and delicate vocals. Truth be told, it’s actually a track about the passing of a friend. I love listening to this on repeat. And the moment I found out about its true meaning behind the reminiscent lyrics, I began listening to it in a whole new perspective.
Yes, it gives me a break every time I press play, but aside from that, it makes me reflect. Imagine, the track is so powerful that it makes you reflect? One of the reasons why I love listening to music. This track isn’t a love song. It’s about a great friendship, which is one of the best relationships you could ask for. With even just reading the lyrics, it’s like you become a part of that close friendship. It touches your soul, mind, and thoughts in a whole other creative way. Do you have a song that makes you feel this way? Think about how listening to it now has helped change you.
