Zamanının Türk Elvis’i olarak nitelendirilmiş ancak hiçbir zaman hakettiği değeri görememiştir. Erkut Taçkın zamanı için, Türk müziğinin rock müziğine en çok yaklaştığı anlardan biri olduğu söylenebilir. Özgün bestelerindeki vokalinin, uyarlama şarkılardaki vokalinden oldukça farklı olması deneyselliğine vurgu yapar.

This recording doesn’t have the lyrics, but you can look those up. What it does have is so much soul. So, so much soul. Jimmy Smith’s organ playing is so buttery and smooth it practically clogs your arteries. Between 1956 and 1964, he did forty recording sessions for Blue Note, and all of them are killers.

Haberin Var Mı – Fikret Kızılok

Fikret Kızılok zamanının en saygı duyulan sofistike müzisyenlerinden ve düşünce adamlarından biriydi. Hayatının değiştiren şey Anadolu’ya yolculuğu oldu. Sivas’ta Aşık Veysel ile tanıştı ve bunun sonucunda bağlama çalmaya başladı. Bu ikilinin ortaklığı zamanla bir baba-oğul ilişkisine dönüştü ve yıllar sonra Aşık Veysel 21 Mart 1973’de hayatını kaybettiğinde Kızılok, “Ustam öldü, artık ona can veren parmaklar yok” diyerek Veysel’in mezarı başında bağlamasını kırdı.

Anasına sevdiği kızı beğendiremeyen anadolu gencinin Amerika’ya ani göçü ve aradığını bulamaması edebi bir derinlikle işlenmiş.
