Fragments of Time – Daft Punk

I posted a video 2 weeks ago of them giving a great example of funk, but it wasn't enough.

Maybe they are not the creators (their creator is Giorgio Moroder, the actual father of electronic), but they are the Hercules of electronic music (Giorgio is Zeus).

Daft Punk... One of the best bands this world could ever have. I'm not an electronic fan, I'm way too far from being one except for this guys. You can hear they were raised by father Giorgio, I'm not gonna deny that. Their style is so unique, nobody can be like them and they can't be like the rest of the world as they have created their own world. From just scratches and 2 big hits (Around the World and Da Funk) to the whole freaking album Random Access Memories, this guys shook the world in so many different ways. Sometimes making a whole album based on the movie interstellar 5555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem (Discovery), or releasing a really confusing but way mature album that got famous 3 years later as humans were not able to comprehend their world (Human After All) and then releasing the best album ever done that audiophiles adore as it's the nicest mix and master ever heard till today. And then.... they disappeared.... again.... And the world still talks about that live show with some phone videos and their great world.

Fragment of Time belongs to the last album. If you listen to the album without shuffle, your ears will be thanking you for this beautiful gift going through them and actually start relaxing as the album is finishing. By this time, this song it almost means nothing after the wonderful journey listening great artists such as Julian Casablancas, Pharrel Williams, Nile Rodgers, Paul Williams and Todd Edwards (in this song), but the perfect mix stills intact, the 70s are more alive than ever and everything sounds and feels amazing!

At a very early age, music had an incredible impact on Rodrigo’s life. He was never able to listen to lullaby songs; instead he was served Guns n’ Roses and Aerosmith for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

At the age of 12, he became a melomaniac, collecting albums, EP’s, recording sessions, and researching every kind of genre. All this helped him to get his first job at a recording studio where he realized his life would forever revolve around sound and music.

Working on cruise ships as First Audio Technician allowed him to let loose his passion and expand his knowledge on psychoacoustics, eventually promoted up to being in charge of sound for the hit broadway shows: Rock of Ages and Burn The Floor.
