Sometimes all you need is a bit of a space and a melancholy piano - hell - sometimes you don't even need the space - a pair of decent headphones can be world building - especially if the soundtrack comes from Simeon Walker.
We've been heavily focused on lyric over the last month and yet the whole idea of this playlist came from a body of work for solo piano. There's just something so beautifully evocative about a well played, well composed piece of "sad" solo piano music.
To write for someone who has just died, to attempt to reflect their personality, their life through a piece of music - to do them justice - to make it as unique as they were - is a pretty daunting task - this is delivered perfectly.

About the Curator - Andrew McCluskey
The first visual memory I have is that of the white upright piano in Singapore, Hell and the dark forces lived at the bottom, Heaven and the Angels at the top. They would play battles through my fingers and I was hooked.
Although I've always played, I haven't always been a musician. Most of my twenties were spent working with people, buying and selling and learning how the world works. It was in my thirties that I came to America and focused on music and began to develop music2work2.
