Rob Garza and Eric Hilton are Thievery Corporation, often working with other artists to produce the dream for the song into reality, in this case the vocals are by Emiliana Torrini. This track is from the duo’s third studio album, The Richest Man in Babylon, released in late 2002.  I love listening to this track while driving nowhere on a road without traffic lights, perfectly placed beats and super sweet singing bring this to life.

Imagine something you can’t imagine, try to focus and stretch yourself, beyond your fears, beyond your shoulds, and coulds.  What would you imagine for yourself? A body free of illness and tension? A mind free from worry? a heart free from pain? Time? Space? Love? Freedom

Keep imagining these things for yourself, do it everyday, do it until it is what you imagine when you are falling asleep, waiting for the bus or stopped at the lights.  Our mind is free to be ours, we can learn how to use all it has to offer. Believing in more than what others may believe is ok for us, we can try, we can experiment, we can find something for ourselves that we couldn’t even imagine...if we hadn’t tried.

Where do dreams come from? A dream isn’t a plan, we know that, it is a image in your mind’s eye, a feeling deep within, something you urn for, something you know is true to you.  When you have a dream and you focus on it, it may just begin to carve it’s own path, if you let it.

Maybe we can all see a piece of heaven on earth within our own lives?

Even if you don’t believe, Imagine, Imagine, Imagine.

About the Curator: Erin Murray

Erin, a Mother of 1 little man and wife to 1 big man has learnt much about herself in the past few years.   After moving from the city to the bush (near the Ocean), there weren’t as many distractions as she had become accustomed to, in a smaller community she lost her anonymity and slowly began to become aware of herself, her feelings, the life she had created for herself and her relationships with others.  Seeking change from the feelings and behaviours which had become her normal, she sought out methods to do just that.  Slowly at first, then a bit more and a bit more she is becoming aware of what she actually wants for herself and has begun removing the things that aren’t that, inside and out.  Learning about faith (not religion:-)), fun and how to be gentle with herself and others along the way.
