About this Playlist
The best music to discover every musicto Monday
Each week, our global creator community listens to tracks sent through our musicto artist submission form. And each week we add favorites to our musicto Monday playlist and invite one musicto curator to choose an artist to put in the spotlight. This week, music curator Jane Asylum puts Parisian musician Le Professeur Inlassable in the spotlight.
Musical Artist Le Professeur Inlassable in the musicto Spotlight
Curator Jane Asylum didn’t need to spend much time surfing through the blues and jazz submissions on musicto’s social network platform.
“I glanced at the song titles and ‘Far Too Much for a Popular Public’ popped from the artist submissions list. I loved the song title. I instantly fell head-over-heels with the track,” said Jane. “Of course, it didn’t hurt that this artist is French. I seem to have a fetish for French music.”
Curious to hear more of Le Professeur’s music, Jane began listening to his Spotify discography.
“I was surprised to find that he has been creating music since 2004—at the very least. His Google profile says he was born in 1906. That made me laugh.
“Even more surprising is that “Far Too Much for a Popular Public” is also from 2004,” Jane continued. “It gave me pause. Should I feature an older song in our new music discovery spotlight feature?
“Obviously, I’ve said ‘fuck it’. Anyone who loves trip hop, Tom Waits, or maybe even Michelle Gurevich needs to discover Le Professeur Inlassable—if they haven’t already.”
To showcase some of his music, Jane Asylum created a chill playlist, “Too Much Isn’t Enough”, which you can listen to above.

musicto track submission: Far Too Much for a Popular Public
Le Professeur Inlassable submitted his track “Far Too Much for a Popular Public” to the musicto community. Here’s what the PR he included in his submission says about this fantastic track:
“Welcome to an offbeat sound universe: a mix of samples dosed by a virtuoso, who brews his sequences with a retro-nostalgic sauce. Professor Inlassable takes us to a refined atmosphere that some would call lounge, marked by sampled laughter and a well-paced rhythm. In short, a merry mess, in which you will not regret to let drag an ear…”
