The Bee Gees were at the heart of the disco movement in the 70s and was comprised of brothers Barry, Maurice and Robin. However, the youngest Gibb brother, Andy, had his own time in the blazing hot spotlight as a teen heartthrob and disco king. He had six singles hit the music charts, with "I Just Want to Be Your Everything" being the first one. Released in 1977, the smooth groove was written by Barry Gibb in 20 minutes and remained at #1 on the charts for four weeks.

Andy Gibb died tragically young, just after turning 30. This sad circumstance tends to lend a layer of sadness to his music. "I Just Want to Be Your Everything" is already a beautiful ballad. The fact Andy died before he could become a music legend gives the song that much more import. He had a winning smile, easy-on-the-eyes good looks and a subtle aura of shyness. He helped define what disco was, mysterious, yet engaging.
