About this Playlist
Winter is known for being one of the coldest and darkest times of the year. In the Midwest, this means a lot of snow and sub-zero temperatures. Despite these traits, this is my favorite time of the year.
The days become shorter and life becomes cozier in the winter. Those cold and snowy days give us a chance to slow down and admire nature’s peace and quiet. I was inspired to create a playlist that captures the feelings I get from winter in my hometown because there is something special about days like these.
Tracks on this playlist work together to capture the essence of the season by highlighting powerful vocals and carefully crafted harmonies.
Starting with tracks that capture the peace from watching the snowfall for the first time to tracks that serve as a reminder to slow down with the rest of the world.
Take a moment to listen to the ethereal beauty of the winter.
My name is Jenna Barton. I currently live in a small town in Illinois. Although I live in small town I have always been a big city girl at heart. I live near the great city of Chicago, where I try to visit as often as I can. I enjoy seeing new places and being around people. I'm not sure what my future holds, but I do know that music will be apart of it.
Music has always been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. You can find me listening to music in between classes and during nature walks. Ive had a passion for music at a young age when I started my own musical discovery. My journey into music led me into the boyband area for a while, but now its very diverse and I am always looking for something new to listen to.
I wouldn't be able to pick a favourite artist or song right now because its constantly changing. Music has changed my life for the better and I want nothing more than to share that with you.

The definitive Generation X mix tape to disappear in Los Angeles ca. 1983. Fuck Christmas with every directly-name-dropped and/or vaguely-hinted-at song in Bret Easton Ellis’s debut novel “Less Than Zero” — plus a couple of surprises.
Go out on the town and spend your evening at a club in the 1970’s (sort of), and maybe spend some time at the after party without having to travel back in time. Featuring artists like: Alfie Templeton, Sigrid, Twin Shadow, Augustine, LP, Tove Lo, Dua Lipa, The Knocks.
