No lyrics this week, no words, just music. There are so many words around us all the time, inside, and out. Maybe we can just listen for a while.
We can be fragile creatures, when our equilibrium is out of kilter, things are harder, and days are duller. You can feel it when it is happening, feel yourself building, building, building. What happens when we don’t recognise the need for balance in ourselves?
This need, for balance, doesn’t leave us. Often we take from other parts of ourselves, to give more and more of our energy away, and what is left? Less headspace, less energy, less time, less, less less…..
Learning how to find our own way of balance is easy, If we check in with ourselves, every now and again. Ignoring this need for nurturing does not make us strong, it makes us rigid and prone to breaking.
When we are responsive to our own needs, we can move more easily, like a tree in the wind, swaying back and forth, bending, not breaking. In this space of nurturing, we can begin to let go, breathe, and find, a piece of mind.
One pebble either side of the scale achieves balance, just as a pile of pebbles on either side does. Why not try for just one pebble at a time?

About the Curator: Erin Murray
Erin, a Mother of 1 little man and wife to 1 big man has learnt much about herself in the past few years. After moving from the city to the bush (near the Ocean), there weren’t as many distractions as she had become accustomed to, in a smaller community she lost her anonymity and slowly began to become aware of herself, her feelings, the life she had created for herself and her relationships with others. Seeking change from the feelings and behaviors which had become her normal, she sought out methods to do just that. Slowly at first, then a bit more and a bit more she is becoming aware of what she actually wants for herself and has begun removing the things that aren’t that, inside and out. Learning about faith (not religionJ), fun and how to be gentle with herself and others along the way.

How does wisdom come to us? How do we become, wise?
We are so many versions of ourselves in a lifetime. Can we see each version and honour it, thank it and move on? Knowing that each version brought us to here and now, knowing that we did the best we could at the time, and if we didn’t we learnt from it…
