Plenty can be said about Brazilian soul legend Tim Maia. Or you can just blast this track crazy loud to understand the man and his music in an instant. It's feel-good-funk at it's finest. The sort of sound that allows you to live in the moment, carefree, and weightless.
Even though Tim is singing in Portuguese, you know it ain't nothing but a party "From Leme to Pontal...there's no place like Rio." It's a soulful tribute to the good times and places in Brazil. Production wise this track is just fluffy, crispy, tonal, well-balanced niceness. It's a great recording, and all of the musicians are laying it down heavy. A simple hook can carry on for days if it's real enough. Go ahead and enjoy the few minutes of paradise that this song brings.
