Like I Do is an Afro-Fusion song by Jay Trigga. Jay Trigga is a Zambian artist and entrepreneur currently based in China for university. He entered the music industry as a producer in 2015 slowly discovering sounds and learning the ropes until 2018 when he then decided to get on the microphone officially to drop his first project as an artist called ‘FEBRUARY 8’ and since then has gone on to work on more music and dropped his second project the ‘symbolic rebirth’ that got some global attention working with artists like Dremo Drizzy.
Jay Trigga is versatile and his sound varies from Trap to Afro-Pop. In his words; “I do music as a way to channel my emotions as well as inspire and better the lives of people around me, I hope with my music I’ll be able to bring hope to the Zambian youth that anything is possible and change lives, I feel its upon me to bring joy and hope for a better day”, he aims at changing the game internationally having worked with artists from China, Nigeria, Namibia.
Jay Trigga’s inspirations came from Kanye West, Wizkid, and Burna Boy. These were some of the main acts I started listening to. His singles with Dremo drizzy and the latest one featuring African Hip Hop legend Ice Prince are playlisted on all major radio stations in Nigeria.
