World wide sounds Dj Chase is no stranger to the Rap Game. With an album done called “Diary Of A Mad Black Man” he put out in 2013. Dj Chase is back with a brand new single featuring up and coming Bronx Rapper Dolo who by chance snagged Big inf to get on this banger called “On The Move” prod. Mazik Beats.
If you’ve somehow managed to avoid Childish Gamino’s Redbone until now I have a trophy ready for you to pick up at your earliest convenience. It swept the nation and hooked millions of listeners with its smooth bass lines and soaring falsetto. But I have an unpopular opinion incoming. Redbone is not the best song on this album. Most popular, yes. But the best song has to go to terrified…
I remember hearing this track for the first time when it was performed by the writer Peter Gabriel and I think it was Kate Bush – it was one of those songs that you immediately recognize as classic – even to my then teenage ears.
Alice is a classically trained pianist and composer. Alice’s next-generation modern, minimal classical piano compositions have been broadcast on the radio in 103 countries worldwide…
The opening track from the debut album by Atlanta’s Kyle Troop & The Heretics is a slice of hardcore skate punk that compares the supporters at a presidential campaign rally to oversexed nightclub drunks salivating over a pole dancer. In a song inspired by the 2016 presidential primaries, the preaching star of Disco is handing out “sugar water” guaranteed to “leave you wanting more” and at the end of it all, Kyle tells me, “people get to take their candidate home like a cheap date”…
My Morning Jacket’s Jim James is a vocal chameleon. One minute he sounds like a heightened alt-rock singer, the next like the quintessential neo-soul singer. His solo endeavors have been fruitful, yielding ripe, soul-nourishing tracks. Proving that he’s a musician’s musician, he’s not afraid to experiment and go outside the box.
Here’s a cool song for you to just chill and be grateful for your life, in a non cheesy way. Relax and think of the good things about your life. Your life is good.
When you get to hear “My life is good”, by Ash-B, if you’re not fluent in Korean, the only lines you’ll understand are probably “My life is good” or “My life is cool” and “I’m proud of myself”. That’s enough, though.
Sometimes all you need is a proper groove, man. A groove, which “Turncoat” by the Seattle based band Pickwick will offer you. The band has been around for almost ten years and after releasing a series of EPs and singles, they finally dropped their debut record Can’t Talk Medicine in 2013.
I could go on and on about Jack White, but I won’t. I will say, however, that though his many bands, he really seems to dive into lyricism in The Raconteurs. Don’t get me wrong this album is riddled with unforgettable guitar licks and a raw overall sound he has crafted, but there seems to be a bit more depth than just rock and roll.
The first track from Massive Attack’s Protection Album, is Protection. Featured in Rolling Stone’s Coolest Albums of all time top ten, it is definitely worth checking out. The trip hop sound created by Robert “3D” Del Naja, Grant “Daddy G” Marshall and at the time of Protection’s release in 1994 Andy “Mushroom” Vowles is Massive Attack. Several Artists perform vocals for Massive on the album, Tracy Thron of Everything but the girl, performing on this weeks track, Protection…
Burn a Million Miles has been receiving a large number of awesome track submissions recently, and it’s not only the quality, but they’re just sitting so well on the playlist. This week I had the pleasure of chatting with Paul from “Evil Edna” based out of London, who’s known for his trademark Harmonica and Edna’s killer stage shows.
“Heaven” es el nombre de un bar al que por la noche todos intentan llegar. Pero lo que parecía ser un simple antro esconde algunos secretos. Al igual que Ulises hubo de protegerse del hipnótico canto de las sirenas para no sucumbir a su encanto y así proseguir su viaje, este bar te invita a pasar tocando tu canción preferida pero una vez dentro nunca pasara nada y esa intrascendencia, esa indiferencia viral se convierte en un eterno loop en el que peligrosamente uno puede perderse por toda una vida.
