He sings of clouds, moonbeams and riding the wind, Jimmy Hendrix, the one and only, not only a master on the guitar also a thought provoking songwriter. So what is he talking about? I think this is about vulnerability, beautiful girls he meets along the way that are willing to be open and vulnerable with him. Not only physically, but emotionally. These women stand out from the crowd in a good way, even though he believes they will meet with pain through their openness.
For a long time I was guarded and controlled (by myself), I too believed that vulnerability was a weakness to be avoided, my ego reassuring me that my choice to be closed, separate and controlled was safe.
How boring, and how much work. It took a while, but allowing some vulnerability was easier than I thought and as usual, I was my hardest battle. It feels good to be more open and genuine. More often than not received with a matched vulnerability and a real chance to feel my feelings and connect – Its ok to be human, we are all doing it.

About the Curator: Erin Murray
Erin, a Mother of 1 little man and wife to 1 big man has learnt much about herself in the past few years. After moving from the city to the bush (near the Ocean), there weren’t as many distractions as she had become accustomed to, in a smaller community she lost her anonymity and slowly began to become aware of herself, her feelings, the life she had created for herself and her relationships with others. Seeking change from the feelings and behaviors which had become her normal, she sought out methods to do just that. Slowly at first, then a bit more and a bit more she is becoming aware of what she actually wants for herself and has begun removing the things that aren’t that, inside and out. Learning about faith (not religionJ), fun and how to be gentle with herself and others along the way.
