This is a track that falls under the category of basically uncategorizable. Like the artists responsible for making it, the song is not tied to one genre, one aesthetic, even one message. All in the same musical vehicle the listener gets a taste of the southern pimp, the college marching band, and the soulful starlet. Like its accompanying music video might be implying, the song is a virtual fantasyland carnival for music lovers.
For the young, southern hip-hop oriented generation, listening to this song may be the only time that you actually enjoy doing some homework. For the older, rock and soul generation, this may be one of the few hip-hop songs that will genuinely make you move your feet. In a time of conflict and separation, there is nothing like an ostentatious, in-your-face, multi-genre Outkast jam to bring us all a little closer together.
