Every element of this track from Los Angeles-based MNDSGN (pronounced "mind design") has me hooked. The funky, laid back bass and drums, dreamy synths, and chant-like chorus let me know that we're all just trying to figure out our own way. This a perfect track for reflecting on where you've been, and letting go of anything that may be stopping you from getting to where you need to be.
Each person's path is unique, and there can only be one of each of us. Learning to celebrate one's own experiences and perspectives is part realizing our fullest potential. MNDSGN's lyrics on "Ya Own Way" acknowledge that this is all "easier said than done." But knowing that these difficulties are universally understood and experienced helps ease the difficulty. And he reminds us that staying focused on what we need to do to move forward is the most important thing: "the only way to find is your own."
