Synergy (Instrumental) – Tash Sultana

I’m late into the week – it’s not so much that I’m rushing – more that I’ve been so focused and productive over the last few months that I can feel my body and mind start to wane. And of course – I don’t have time for that – I need to keep going – preferably at the same pace as before and yet – I know it’s unsustainable, so what to do?

Small Little Green Cubes – Solar Fields

Damn we use the word “Flow” a lot on this website!

I was looking for an entry into this track write up and was thinking of the whole Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi concept (here’s the wiki page if you’re unfamiliar,) out of interest I searched musicto.com for entries using the word Flow and – well – just check it out – I gave up counting after the first 100 entries…

Flow – FLOW

I’m in love with this track – I’m listening to it on repeat as I write this.

It has helped me outline the post, encouraged me to focus on what I want to say and created a perfect sonic environment where the outside world has disappeared – it’s just me and the text – and it feels great!

Summer Fog – The Album Leaf

I’ve received a lot of e-mails asking me how I write. The simple answer is, I write late at night, with my headphones on, listening to music. These are some songs I really like, especially for writing. They frequently find a place on my midnight playlist. I hope you like them, too.

Le Onde – Ludovico Einaudi

I’m a sucker for beautiful piano – I should be as that’s the kind of piano I like to write and play.  Ludovico Einaudi is a genius and this track with its 29+ million streams is a good example of why.
