Dynasty – Xavier
23 January 2018
We take a little break from all that movement to chill out with some hip-hop, here’s another track that was submitted to the playlist, Xavier’s “Dynasty”.
Condolence – Benjamin Clementine
16 January 2018
Benjamin Clementine has something to say, a lot to say. His art feels very personal and vocal, his singing is pure, sometimes even a bit raw. He seems willing to show you something and his way is not mysterious, he wants to shout it to the world, without fear, without regrets, without restrain but always with pure intention and beauty.
In My Arms – Will Killen
9 January 2018
We now present you another track submitted to us on the musicto website.
This is Will Killen’s “In My Arms”, an emotional reflection on a past relationship and the nostalgia brought by separation, the different stages of grief brought by a break up, beautifully portrayed by a guitar, a violin and two great voices.
Barro Tal Vez – Mercedes Sosa ft. Luis Alberto Spinetta
2 January 2018
So many times has this world been blessed with souls so beautiful that just by existing and sharing their lives and essence through music have touched and changed millions of lives. Mercedes Sosa and Luis Alberto Spinetta were exactly that, a blessing to this world, and we’re blessed enough to have a recording of a song sung by both of them.
On The Esplanade – Julian Plenti
18 December 2017
We continue to explore the night and music allows us to make a new connection with ourselves, a guitar comes again our way and leaves a single yet powerful imprint on our souls, the pattern is simple but so filled with meaning, there’s another feeling that needs to leave our hearts, free us from another burden.
Lorraine – Big Thief
12 December 2017
Life is fleeting, like a beautiful moment. This song is like life, a precious second of existence that just captivates you deeply and then it’s gone, forever, as fast as it came.
We go back to being us for a moment, passing through the night and listening to its silence, joined by the soft and embracing sound of Adrianne Lenker’s voice and guitar.
Heightened Intimacy – Anantakara ft. Mukti
6 December 2017
We proudly present to you the first submitted track that makes it to the playlist, Anantakara and Mukti’s Heightened Intimacy, a spiritual journey through sound, a piece that seems to be floating on air, giving you a certain peaceful stillness that allows you to reflect on everything and everyone.
Photograph – Arcade Fire
28 November 2017
And everything intensifies, music turns into motion and the soul transmutes it into emotion, the simplicity of the motif from Song on the Beach turns into a sudden yet subtle burst of beautiful sounds, nostalgia becomes melancholy and melancholy turns into sadness, one note at the time.
Song On The Beach – Arcade Fire
21 November 2017
Sometimes beauty is nostalgic or maybe sometimes nostalgia is beautiful, this song is a perfect example of such. The delicate softness of a piano motif that fits a very personal mood, a mood that permeates the movie for which this music was created in a very deep way.
En La Ciudad De La Furia – Soda Stereo
14 November 2017
We can go to unknown territory for a moment and travel in time and space to Argentina in the 1980s, looking back to one of the most influential rock bands in Latin America, Soda Stereo.
Every nineties latino kid grew up listening to Gustavo Cerati’s voice and getting enchanted by this song and many others. This is a typical one that captured very uniquely the feeling of the evening, watching the sun go down and the city lights slowly start to turn on.
Believe Me Natalie – The Killers
8 November 2017
Sometimes the night is just a wonderful moment to reminisce, take a look back to all the beautiful moments in life, all the memorable days of happiness and bliss spent with people who have left a mark on your life.
Transmission – Joy Division
31 October 2017
I tend to associate Joy Division with the night, with black and White aesthetic, with a certain kind of elegance which only the powerful simplicity of black and White combined expresses, it’s certainly a unique sound that many of us fall in love with at a certain point of our lives, mine came when I saw the movie Control, by Anton Corbjin, it just resonated and captured so easily the essence of the band that you were instantly mesmerized.
