A recent health issue made me pause and think, where do I go from here? what happens when I’m gone? Kremidas, the guitarist, singer-songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist shares. “When I looked back, I felt this real appreciation for life. There is a lot of bad, of course, but really a lot of good—life is so beautiful. I wanted this album to encompass the full span of the wonderful emotions of life. We are here for a finite period of time—it’s over before we know it—and I wanted to share the beauty of it all.
The tracks selected are dynamically-expressive acoustic tracks textured with exotic folk percussion that recall driving rustic sounds. The buoyant selections bounce along with joy, the choruses are angsty, and the bridges build tension. These songs are about holding on tight during the bad and the good moments of life. The introspective concept is almost a new age acoustic track thoughtfully-enhanced with atmospheric ambience, lyrical pedal steel lines, and emotive melodies. The songs express those times when you feel down—it’s meant to be sad, but also comforting.
