
When you’re feeling down, you’re most likely not going to want to put on music with a low bpm and depressing lyrics, but research actually shows that listening to sad music can ACTUALLY make you feel good. Sad music can mirror your own feelings, making you feel understood and less alone.
I’ve always felt this way especially with artists like James Arthur. I remember a particularly rough time when I had one of his songs on repeat, and somehow, just hearing it over and over made me feel a little better, piece by piece.
