Lizzy Wood

Hey, I’m Lizzy! I am a Music and Law student at the University of Liverpool. I am passionate about maintaining artistic integrity in an increasingly commercialised industry, particularly for young and inexperienced female artists. My aim is to develop, promote and encourage women in music. I enjoy a variety of music genres. If I had to pick a favourite, it would have to be R&B/Soul. Jazz also comes into the mix... how could it not?! Alongside my degree I enjoy managing an artist, Greta Lovisa, as well as leading both small-scale and large-scale charitable music events.

Year or Two – Lily Agnés

12 April 2021

Not only that, but she also sings insanely well, and I mean INSANELY. I’m pretty sure we are about to see a big year ahead of her

Track of the Month – March. Ms.Lauryn Hill.

5 April 2021

Music I can dance to seems to be the theme, even my poor housemate who has been working crazy hours in hospital can’t help a little dance when I whack Lauryn on! For that reason, ‘Can’t Take My Eyes Off You’ has to be my track of the month.

Glow – Alice Phoebe Lou

29 March 2021

Glow is a masterpiece in my humble opinion, and I don’t think I really want to try and tell you about the music, because it simply has to be heard.

Where I Roam – MOXIE

29 March 2021

This is a song is simply gorgeous, especially with the addition of Julia Spanu on Vocals. A super cool fact I found out was that the band asked fans to feature on their upcoming single.

Morning Sun – Melody Gardot

15 March 2021

I’ve been coming back to this song everyday at around 5pm, when I just need a breather! Soulful and gentle, Gardot says ”It’s about life, and the people living it — right now.”

Appletree – Erykah Badu

6 March 2021

It teaches important messages such as to count your blessings. I certainly counted mine when I stumbled across it in my uncle’s vinyl collection a few years ago.

Amsterdam – Sofia Valdes

6 March 2021

Inspired by Brazilian music, Motown, and Soul, Sofia has a beautifully unique approach to her songwriting and singing.
