There are nights when you can only feel sad, moments when you can’t find “positive” feelings to nourish from, when everything you feel is just some form of sadness, sometimes stronger, sometimes weaker, but just sadness.
This song is an opportunity to realize that sadness is a great teacher, a wise feeling to allow you to stop and let go, to take a break and recharge. Sadness is a very valuable feeling if you let it flow as it should, if you allow your feeling to be there and stop punishing yourself for feeling something cause it’s supposed to be bad.
This song is an opportunity to make peace with yourself and your feelings and realize that negative feelings don’t really exist. Feelings are a language of great wisdom that tell you where you are with yourself and where you need to be.
This song, for me, a strange mixture of sadness and some weird quirkiness, feels perfect to allow myself to be sad and remember that sadness has shaped some of my life’s most memorable moments and has been a great memory to acknowledge some of the greatest ones, it took a while to accept that life sometimes needs you to just stop and feel sad but once you realize it is perfectly fine and valuable to feel sadness you realize it is also perfectly normal to let your sadness go when it has served its purpose.
So tonight I think I want you all to feel a little sad and grateful for it, honor and respect your feelings and then, when they’re ready, let them go into the silent night, let them float through space in a little boat until they can finally become one more star in the night sky.
