This week we've got another powerful track that was submitted to us on musicto.com. A special journey that resonates throughout the different layers of memory.

Ghost Suns' "Cards on a Bicycle" is, on the words of the band itself, a "Voyage through space and time.", it speaks to us about all the different stages of our lives and about how life keeps moving forward, constantly, without we even realizing how fast time passes. We keep burning stages and becoming different people and we eventually realize time is an unstoppable force, like a bicycle wheel that's always moving forward, and our consciousness is like a card, that's taped to its side, designed to make a sound every time the wheel moves, only capable of tracking how the movement goes by and changes everything, but never capable of affecting its course.

Memory is a tricky thing, an ever-changing set of thoughts that keep hanging on to the more recent version of themselves. Memories can deceive, much more than we think, they can define us without we even considering how much is constantly being added or removed from them every time they come to our minds.

In the end it's better to accept the past is just a fog, a reference to realize we came from another place, something to make us appreciate the present in a better way, but never an actual reality we can perceive, touch or live on anymore. That's why our consciousness is like that card on a bicycle, it can only stay on the move, never looking back.

Check out the official video clip of this song, it can make you understand its concept a lot more easily
