Infinity sees XXX and Joey join forces once again. However, unlike the prior joint efforts, they’ve produced something that sounds absolutely timeless.
This song infuses jazz characteristics alongside traditional boom-bap percussion. The resultant is a song filled with a soul-bearing saxophone melody, a beautiful guitar riff and an infectious drum-line. The production is truly impeccable. The production meets two rappers with completely different styles flowing like water over a majestic beat.
Infinity focuses on anxiety, depression and feeling numb due to the vast pain that they’ve both experienced. Both have experienced major events. XXX lost one of his closest friends through suicide (go listen to “Jocelyn Flores” - it might make you cry though) while similarly, Joey lost his bestfriend and fellow Pro Era act, Capital Steez through the suicide.
Joey uses his traditional 90s East Coast flow while XXX uses a double time, new age mumble-rap flow. Their polarity between both flows create a sense of unison and chemistry. It’s a soulful experience worthy of the name, “Music To put the Soul into Hip-Hop”.

About The Curator - Dithekgo Mogadime
A Hip-Hop purist at heart. Currently pursuing a law degree. I love anything related to music (specifically – R&B, jazz & hip-hop), sports (specifically – football, rugby, basketball & golf) and fashion.
I find most enjoyment in laying back, listening to music and interacting with my friends. If not socializing, I’m bound to be shouting at my TV – trying to tell Eden Hazard to shoot as he flicks the ball unnecessary. Sometimes I spend hours glued at my screen, watching Netflix in bed.
I’m a kind, cool and collected persona. I tend to live life without limits, finding enjoyment in every action and keep smiling through it all. I would sacrifice anything to keep my loved ones happy. I’m supportive and I’m happiest when everybody around me is smiling and shinning.
