One of only a handful of television theme songs I sit through every time without a forward skip. I usually hum a long while I drool over what seems to me unimaginable visuals. The entire premise of Westworld fits right in there, wherever there is, with the concept of the Music To Questions Existence playlist...
Ramin Djawadi, the mastermind behind Westworld’s sonic magic, is most notably known for his work on the HBO colossal hit “Game of Thornes” and one of the other TV themes I bask in from start to fin. Ramin has also scored a handful of box office giants including; “Iron Man” and “Clash of the Titans”.
Beyond the captivating main theme and pocket fitting original score work throughout the series, the covers of some of music’s biggest hits are outta this world. A moving rendition of Nirvana’s “Heart-Shaped Box”, a player piano version of “Black Hole Sun” by Soundgarden, a favorite of mine from The Rolling Stones, “Paint it Black”, and a smoke-filled desert tent version of The White Stipes “Seven Nation Army”.
In the intermission from season 2 to 3, skip the concession lines and fill your ears with some amazing film ear candy from Ramin Djawai. You can also catch the “Game of Thornes Live in Concert Series” live this summer, check his website with the link below for info and tickets.
