Niklas and Daniel had been living together for a while in Stockholm and making music in Swedish when they felt they needed a change (for a lot of reasons). So they booked two one-way tickets and on February 1, 2012, they arrived in Berlin for the first time. They had brought their computers, a bass guitar and our keyboard, looking for a clean slate and a new skyline. They started writing and recording in a friend's apartment on Silbersteinstraße in Neukölln. Beneath a nonexistent sky, in between deep house dance floors, spätis and endless kebap and casino establishments. Fuelled by cheap meals, easy kicks, shallow relationships, the feeling that no night needed to ever end. You know the drill. The very first song they wrote and recorded as Dog Orchestra was Feb 1. It set the tone for years to come.
