The new track of the week comes from the modern day legend, Frank Ocean. "Pink + White" is a sweet and poetic neo-soul/pop song. The song contains themes of love and mortality that can be interpreted in many different ways. Pharell produced the track and he did a hell of a job with this one. The percussion and bass guitar is very crisp and sound heavenly when coupled with the colorful piano melodies. Also, the instrumental features a brilliant guitar chord progression in the middle of the track to change the pace.

Surprisingly, Beyoncé is featured on the track with some subtle harmonizing vocals that make the track sound surreal. However, Frank is the star of the show on this track as he gives a warm and soothing vocal performance. Additionally, Frank's lyrics have lots of substance and layers that will have you coming away with something new after every listen. Overall, this a well-crafted pop track that will immediately catch your ears and feed your soul with spiritual lyrics. A great song to play while you're relaxing at your picnic!

I am a student at the University of Maryland, College Park where I am studying Criminal Justice and Criminology with a minor in International Development and Conflict Management. After college, I want to get my law degree and practice criminal law. I am also a big music lover that listens to r&b, hip-hop, rock, reggae, and pop. But, I am also trying to expand my taste in music as much as I can to appreciate the different amount of genres out there. I also started a music blog in August 2018; so if you like reading interesting takes on music and concert opinions, then give it a glance.
