breathin is from Ariana Grande's album Sweetener.  This track is a reminder that you can't prevent yourself from being fearful but you can learn to live with these fears and handle them in a healthy way. Ariana encourages to keep breathing, because when we are anxious we often forget to breathe and we tense up. It could feel as though there is not enough air.

Anxiety is the worry and nervousness about something that has not happened yet, and many people battle this state of being everyday. Ariana explains how even she forgets to breathe when she is in an anxious state. If you can't stop yourself from feeling anxious then how can you learn to live with it? Breathing is an amazing technique because it slows down your bodies natural response to fear. Breathing reminds you that in the moment everything is okay and that your fear is not your reality. Breathing slowly can slow down your heart rate when you are having anxiety and can help you feel at ease. So just keep breathing!

About The Curator - Caylyn Downey

I am a college student in northeast America studying neuroscience, music, and studio art. I am interested in art and music therapy to help teach mindfulness. My goal is to understand how playing and listening to music and doing art can help teach you to live in the moment. In this day and age, many people are stuck in the past or predicting and worrying about the future. My goal as a music curator is to encourage people to limit their worrying and to focus on what is happening right now. I have always made playlists that many of my friends have enjoyed, it is something I enjoy to do as well because music has always been a huge part of my life. I want listeners to be able to only think about what they hear and see in the moment, this way their worries and fears will not be consuming them.
