Ahhh that delicious 90's feeling! Listening to "Hip 2 da game" by Lord Finesse brings back such vibes.
The combination of R&B beats and jazzy horns is awesome already, and so chillin', but don't you think this track is all softness: Lord Finesse ain't afraid to come as hard as possible with his lyrics, talking about his realness and how neither having fame or being broke would change who he is.
My favourite rhymes from him in this track are when he splits the line in three rhymes then raps the next line directly to rhyme only at the end: "I don't stutter, I'm so butter, like no other / Word, I'm that funky type of soul brother" and "It's no quiz, I get biz, you know what the deal is / Rap ain't shit if it ain't real, kid". Wow, the man honours his name when he does that, it's true finesse and so cool!
Enjoy more Finesse's rhymes and his confident flow; this is definitely a track worth vibing to.

About the curator: Ana Clara Ribeiro
Music, art and entertainment have always played a big role in the life of Ana Clara Ribeiro. She grew up in Gurupi (an inland city in Tocantins, the youngest State of Brazil), listening to all kinds of music, reading, writing, watching stuff and connecting them to her personal beliefs and other ideas she read about.
As she became a lawyer and a writer, all the topics to which she is constantly exposed continued to give her insights about life, people and the universe, through the lenses of art.
Nowadays, when she isn’t analyzing lawsuits or producing content about Law, Marketing, Business or Music, she is certainly doing something related to her various personal and professional projects, always to the sound of a playlist as eclectic as her life.
