Jehan Barbur is a Turkish singer/songwriter with an Arabic origin. After graduating from university, she moved to İstanbul to start her professional music career. She didn’t know anyone from the industry when she first came to the city. She went to concerts and bars to meet musicians. After two years, she started live concerts. She set up a home studio and started writing songs. After a while she met Bülent Ortaçgil, a famous Turkish musician and released an album. Since then, she has released five albums.

The “Selvi Boylum Al Yazmalım” is actually a composition by Cahit Berkay, one of the founding members of the psychedelic Turkish band, “Moğollar”. It is the soundtrack of the Turkish movie with the same name. Jehan Barbur took the music and added lyrics to it. It is about the love story in the movie.

Ada Bayramoglu - Music to Curator

Ada is a high schooler from İstanbul who cannot be seen without her headphones. She is a “support your local” kind of girl who knows all the best places to drink coffee in her hometown. Her subconscious is full of “Turkish Classical Music”, which she has been listening to since she was born.  She likes everlasting conversations with her friends about music and art. If you don’t know where she is just look at the nearest concert hall and she’ll be there.
